I was just 4 years old. I'd had to have a particularly painful extraction of teeth at the dentist's,and my father had promised me 'something special' for being so brave.
I'd been as brave as I could, but a few tears had escaped I will admit.
Holding my face with both hands as if it had been broken, I'd gone with my father to the toy shop. My eyes lit up as I realised where I was going, and the pain faded rapidly. We never seemed to spend enough time in toy shop's, I thought.
Stepping inside, I saw exactly what I wanted. No question. On the shelf sat a wonderful model sailing yacht, painted with two-tone blue, complete with bright white linen sails.Displayed at an angle as if already arching through the waves, this beautiful creation was already in my mind's eye gliding away into infinity.
Know that I am finished. What do you get from this story? What do you think the moral is?

This reminds me of the journey we go through while serving God. The journey is long and can be painful but at soon as you know that where you will be going those fears an the pain fades because you know when Jesus comes you will be going to a better place and all the bad things in life will be no more. Thank you for sharing this with us Amarie
